We, SAG Digital Innovation GmbH, a 100% subsidiary of Swiss Automotive Group AG (SAG), are setting up a Digital Hub in the media city of Cologne and a Finance Office in the Bavarian metropolis of Munich.
We design, develop and operate webshop platforms and apps for the European SAG companies, enabling them to market their products and open up new use cases.
SAG is one of the leading companies in Europe in the independent automotive aftermarket and offers a wide range of services for the automotive aftermarket in Switzerland and in numerous European countries. We ensure that motorists can enjoy their vehicles for a long time. To this end, we support end customers as well as repair, maintenance and transport service providers with spare parts and services.
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will support our B2B BI team in migrating our legacy data platform to a modern, highly scalable data warehouse built on Snowflake and dbt. Our goal is to deliver a unified, group-wide view of our companies and enable cross-company insights. You will help define the standard for data processing across our group, contributing to a robust and future-proof analytics foundation.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- You design, build and scale robust data models in Snowflake using dbt
- You connect various internal and external data sources and integrate them into our ELT process
- You orchestrate and monitor data pipelines to ensure reliability and performance
- You create datasets in Power BI and manage their publication and distributionYou maintain high quality documentation for all data processes
- You ensure a high level of data availability and reliability for all stakeholders
WHAT YOU BRING
- You have a minimum of 4 years of professional experience in a Data Engineering role, ideally in agile development environments
- You have excellent SQL skills and experience with at least one additional programming language (e.g. Python)
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake and dbt is highly desirable
- Familiarity with Azure services such as Azure Data Factory and experience with Power BI is a strong plus
- You are interested in the latest developments around the "Modern Data Stack" and are constantly on the lookout for new tools to help you do your job even better
